PREPARATION PHASE

1. Customer Preparation

Download and Install App:
The customer downloads the LEILA app on their smartphone and completes the registration process, which includes setting up payment methods and enabling notifications for receipts.

2. Store Preparation

Point of Sale (POS) Setup:
The store sets up its POS system to integrate with the ALIA protocol, ensuring it can communicate with the LEILA app to send digital receipts.

No Staff Training Necessary:

PURCHASE PHASE

 

1. Shopping:

The customer shops and pays by card as usual in the store but, in the end, enters his/her phone number.

Through the phone number, the ALIA protocol in the POS sends the receipt to the right SmartPhone.

 

2. Checkout:

At checkout, the customer opens the LEILA app and selects a payment method stored within the app.

 

3. Contactless Payment:

The customer makes a payment by holding their smartphone near the POS terminal, which uses near-field communication (NFC) or a similar technology to process the payment through any payment processing system from Credit or Debit Card to Apple Pay.

 

4. Receipt Transmission:

Once the payment is confirmed, the POS system automatically sends the receipt to the LEILA app using the ALIA protocol. This involves the POS system encoding the receipt data in a format compatible with ALIA and transmitting it directly to the LEILA app.

 

5. Receipt Confirmation:

The customer receives a notification from the LEILA app indicating that the receipt has been received. The customer can then view the receipt within the app and attribute it to an account.

POST PHASE

1, Receipt Management:

The LEILA app allows the customer to manage their receipts, including viewing detailed purchase information, categorizing receipts, and exporting data for returns or warranty claims.

2. Customer Support:

If there are any issues with the receipt or the purchase, the customer can use the LEILA app to contact customer support or access FAQs and troubleshooting tips.1.

RETURN PHASE

1. Initiating Return/Exchange:

To initiate a return or exchange, the customer can use the LEILA app to generate a return barcode or QR code, which includes the receipt information.

2. In-Store Return/Exchange:

At the store, the customer presents the barcode or QR code from the LEILA app. The store scans the code, verifies the purchase details, and processes the return or exchange.

Technical Note:

Security and Privacy:

Throughout this process, the ALIA protocol ensures secure transmission of payment and receipt data. It employs encryption and other security measures to protect the customer’s personal and financial information.

Compatibility:

The LEILA app and ALIA protocol are designed to be compatible with various smartphone models and operating systems, ensuring a broad user base can access this contactless payment and receipt service.
